Everything about our seamless designs

01Getting started

What is MOKI Studio?

A small design studio that makes original seamless designs and sells the right to use them. You browse the library, open a print, see it repeated at real scale, adjust colour and texture if you like, and buy a licence. The files download straight away.

Do I need an account to look around?

Yes. You sign in with Google or with an e-mail address and password. New accounts are approved by the studio, usually within a day, and you get an e-mail when you are in. While you wait we ask a few optional questions about what you do; they help us approve faster and shape the library.

Why do I see a watermark?

Previews carry a watermark until you buy the print. The files you download after purchase are clean, without watermark and without any hidden metadata.

Can I request a print in a certain style or colour?

Yes. Mail us a short brief with references and we tell you what is possible. Custom work is quoted separately and can be delivered as an exclusive design.

02Files and quality

What exactly do I get when I buy?

One ZIP that unpacks to a folder named after the design, ready to hand to a printer:

  • START HERE.html — opens in any browser, also offline: the print (single tile or repeated), what every file is for, how to print, the colours and the licence
  • LICENCE.pdf — the licence certificate, naming you as the licensee, for your printer or partner
  • 01 · Design — the tile, one full repeat as a PNG at the master resolution (most designs 3072 × 3072 px), a 2 × 2 repeat and a preview
  • 02 · Size and print — size references A4 and A3: page 1 at true scale with a 10 cm check bar, page 2 the whole repeat with rulers (PDF and PNG)
  • 03 · Colours — every colour with RGB, hex, Lab, its share of the surface and the nearest Pantone TCX and PMS (PDF, PNG, JSON)
  • 04 · Info — README and the licence as plain text

Every version you save in the editor can be downloaded the same way. And from the viewer or your orders Instant share sends the package to your printer with one link, valid for seven days, no account needed on their side.

What does “seamless” mean here?

The tile repeats edge to edge in every direction without a visible join. Our designs are made seamless by construction, not by mirroring or blurring the edges, so the pattern flows naturally across a bolt of fabric or a wall.

How big can I print it?

At 300 dpi a 3072 px tile is 26 × 26 cm per repeat, which is the usual production size. At 150 dpi the same tile covers 52 × 52 cm per repeat and still prints cleanly for wallpaper and large surfaces. The exact numbers for your print are on the size chart and in the README; the viewer also shows repeats per metre.

Are the colours exact?

The files are sRGB. The colour sheet gives you measured values per colour region and the closest Pantone match, with the colour distance so you know how close it is. Paper, fabric, ink and process all shift colour, so treat the Pantone references as a starting point and proof before production.

Which file formats?

PNG for the tile (lossless), JPG for the 2 × 2 preview, PDF and PNG for the size chart and colour sheet, plain text for the README. If your workflow needs TIFF or a specific colour profile, mail us.

Is there any metadata in the files?

No. Downloaded images are stripped of all metadata. The PDFs carry only a document title and “MOKI Studio” as creator.

03Licences and prices

What does a print licence allow?

Use of the design for your own products and business: garments, home textiles, wallpaper, packaging, accessories and similar physical products, in any quantity, worldwide, with no time limit. Your manufacturers may produce for you. The same design can also be licensed to other customers.

What is an exclusive licence?

The design is sold to you alone: it leaves the library and nobody else can buy it afterwards. Everything in the print licence applies, plus exclusivity. It costs more because we take the design off the market for you.

What may I not do?

Resell, share or give away the files themselves, upload them to stock or print-on-demand marketplaces as a design, use them for trademarks or logos, or claim the design as your own work. The licence covers products made with the print, not the print as a product.

How much does it cost?

A print licence is € 49,95 and an exclusive licence € 149,95 per design, including VAT. The price you see is the price you pay, in every country.

Are edits included?

Yes. Unlimited edits in the editor are included with every purchase, and every version you save is covered by the same licence. Change colours, add a texture, make a lighter colourway: no extra cost.

04Editing

What can I change in the editor?

Colours per region, an overall texture such as linen or paper grain, the repeat scale, and small repairs. Each save becomes a new version under the print, so the original stays untouched and you can go back.

Can I edit before I buy?

Yes. You can make and save versions on any print; they stay watermarked until you buy. After the purchase every version you made is downloadable clean.

Can I remove a version I made?

Yes, from the viewer, as long as it is a version you made yourself. The studio's originals cannot be removed by customers.

05Payment, VAT and invoices

How do I pay?

Through the basket with the usual methods for your country: iDEAL, credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Bancontact and SEPA transfer. The files unlock the moment the payment is confirmed.

How is VAT handled?

Prices include VAT. We are based in the Netherlands, so for Dutch and EU customers the invoice shows the 21 % VAT contained in the price. Businesses elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT id get a reverse-charge invoice, and customers outside the EU an invoice without VAT; in both cases the amount stays the same. Fill in your invoice details in Account settings or in the basket and the right treatment is applied automatically.

Do I get an invoice?

Yes, every order produces a numbered PDF invoice with the VAT split. It is in the basket under your orders and stays available in your account.

Can I get a refund?

The files are digital and delivered immediately, so once you have downloaded them the purchase is final and the EU right of withdrawal no longer applies, which you agree to at checkout. If a file is faulty we fix it or refund you. Mail info@moki.studio with your order number.

06Your account and data

Where do I change my details?

Click the person icon next to Sign out. There you set your display name, invoice details, e-mail preferences and the short profile you filled in at sign-up.

Which e-mails will I get?

Order and download e-mails always, they are part of a purchase. News about new prints and tips are off unless you switch them on in Account settings.

Can I download or delete my data?

Both, yourself, in Account settings. Download gives you one file with everything we hold about you. Delete removes your login, invoice details, preferences and basket; invoices are kept for seven years as Dutch tax law requires, without a link to you. Download your bought files first, they stay yours. Details are in our privacy policy.

07Production tips

How do I check the scale before production?

Print page 1 of the size chart at 100 % (no “fit to page”) and measure the 10 cm bar with a ruler. If it is 10 cm, the design on the page is at real size and you can judge the repeat on paper.

How do I hand the file to a printer?

Give them the tile PNG and tell them the repeat size in centimetres from the README. Ask them to repeat the tile edge to edge, never to crop or mirror it, and to proof one repeat on the actual material first.

Can I use the print for wallpaper?

Yes. Use 150 dpi as the working resolution, which doubles the repeat size, and ask for a strip proof so the seam between strips lands inside the repeat.

08About the designs

Who makes the prints?

MOKI Studio. We design with our own tooling, including AI-assisted steps under our direction, and every print is reviewed, corrected and finished by hand before it enters the library. Designs are original works of the studio and are not copies of existing prints or artists.
